The Gremsy ORUS L is an advanced EO/IR (Electro-Optical / Infrared) payload designed for professional UAV applications such as inspection, surveillance, public safety, and ISR missions. Its aerodynamic spherical design has been specifically engineered for high-speed drone operations, ensuring stable imaging performance at flight speeds of up to 100 km/h. With an IP55 protection rating, the system is resistant to dust and rain and can operate reliably in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +50°C.
At the core of the ORUS L is a powerful multi-sensor system featuring a 4K electro-optical camera with up to 25x or 30x optical zoom, a radiometric thermal imaging camera with a resolution of 640 × 512 pixels, and an integrated laser rangefinder (LRF) with a range of up to 2,400 meters. This combination of sensors enables precise target acquisition, thermal analysis, accurate geo-referencing, and target coordinate calculation. The thermal imaging capability is particularly well suited for infrastructure inspections, energy facilities, search and rescue operations, and security applications.
A key feature of the ORUS L is its integrated AI platform powered by NVIDIA Jetson Orin, delivering up to 100 TOPS of computing performance. This allows object detection, target lock, autonomous tracking, and other AI-driven analytics to be processed in real time directly on board, eliminating the need for an external ground computer. Through Ethernet, RTSP streaming, MAVLink, and the Gremsy Payload SDK, the payload can be seamlessly integrated into PX4- or ArduPilot-based UAV systems and customized for a wide range of mission-specific applications.
