When installing the O4 Ground Station near the dock, use the included Ethernet cable. For installations farther away, use the supplied waterproof Ethernet connector. The cable must be a waterproof, outdoor-rated Cat 6 or higher twisted-pair cable with an outer diameter of 5.5 to 6.5 mm. Install the corrugated conduit and plug, crimp the RJ45 connector and tighten the connector nut.
Ensure all rubber port covers and the DJI Cellular Dongle 2 heat sink are properly installed. Unused WAN/LAN port screws must be fully tightened.

O4 Ground Station – Electrical Specifications

Power Interface
Ethernet port (PoE)
WAN: PoE input
LAN: PoE input

Ethernet Cable Requirements
Outdoor-rated waterproof Cat 6 or higher twisted-pair cable; maximum length 80 m; outer diameter 5.5 to 6.5 mm

Power Consumption*
With DJI Dock 4:
Maximum power consumption (including heating): 65 W
Typical power consumption (excluding heating): 17.1 W
Power-saving mode: 7 W**
* Measured in a controlled test environment and provided for reference only. Actual power consumption may be higher when power supply losses are considered.
** Power-saving mode is not recommended at temperatures from -40 °C to -20 °C.

Backup Battery
Li-Ion
Capacity: 3250 mAh
Energy: 23.4 Wh

Backup Battery Runtime (at Room Temperature)
Battery protection mode is enabled by default when powered via PoE. Estimated runtime after a sudden power outage is 45 minutes.
Battery protection mode: Under PoE power, the system maintains battery voltage between 7.0 V and 7.4 V. If voltage exceeds 7.5 V upon insertion, the system first discharges the battery to a safe threshold before entering protection mode; the battery is not charged to full capacity.
Battery discharge performance may decrease at low temperatures, reducing actual runtime.

Charging the Backup Battery
Supports 9 V or 12 V PD charging. The DJI 65W Portable Charger is recommended before use. Estimated runtime with a fully charged battery is approximately 2 hours.
Charging time (65 W PD): approx. 2.5 hours
Charging with a 5 V charger is supported only when the device is powered off.
Charging is supported only when the battery cell temperature is between 0 °C and 55 °C.

Ethernet Port Surge Protection
WAN/LAN ports: The Ethernet interface provides surge protection up to 10 kA (total discharge current) and complies with EN/IEC 61643-21 Category C.
Surge protection performance depends on the capacity and reliability of grounding. Ensure proper grounding during installation to minimize the risk of surges.

Maximum Volume
120.5 dB at 1 m
Measured in a laboratory at 25 °C. Actual results may vary with the software version, audio source, environment and other factors. Performance depends on real-world conditions.

Effective Broadcast Distance
400 m
Measured in a laboratory at 25 °C. Actual results may vary with the software version, audio source, environment and other factors. Performance depends on real-world conditions.

Mounting
Mounted on the left side of the aircraft using the Matrice 5TD Accessory Mount. Ensure mounting screws are securely tightened during installation.

AP1 Parachute

Weight
107 g (excluding mount)

Dimensions
92 × 70 × 56 mm (L×W×H, excluding mount)

Maximum Supported Takeoff Weight
3050 g

Operating Altitude
0 to 5000 m

Stabilized Descent Speed
< 6 m/s
Measured in windless conditions at 25 °C at an altitude between 30 m and 500 m, with the DJI Matrice 5TD taking off at its maximum takeoff weight of 3050 g. For reference only; actual performance may vary by environment, usage and firmware version.

Effective Deployment Altitude
≥ 35 m
The minimum effective deployment altitude of the DJI AP1 Parachute is 35 m, the minimum vertical height required to stabilize the aircraft descent below 6 m/s. Below 35 m, the parachute may still eject but might not fully open or sufficiently slow descent. Automatic deployment may also fail in some situations, requiring manual deployment. Fly with caution. See the official product page for functions and deployment conditions.
The 35 m measurement was taken in windless conditions at 25 °C below 500 m altitude, with the DJI Matrice 5TD taking off at the maximum takeoff weight of 3050 g. For reference only; actual performance may vary by environment, usage and firmware version.

Automatic Deployment Response Time
600 ms
Measured in a controlled laboratory environment while the DJI Matrice 5TD hovered with propellers spinning. This is the total interval from triggering the flight termination system (FTS), through confirmation of complete rotor stoppage, to the electrical trigger of the gas generator. For reference only; actual performance may vary by environment, usage and firmware version.

Deployment Method
Manual/Automatic

Operating Temperature
-40 °C to 50 °C

IP Rating
IP55

Mounting
Mounted on top of the aircraft using the Matrice 5TD Accessory Mount. Ensure mounting screws are securely tightened during installation.

Audible and Visual Alarms
Aircraft beeps and indicator flashes

Backup Power Duration
30 s
Measured at 25 °C with the parachute in its as-delivered condition or connected to the aircraft for more than 10 minutes of flight time each month. For reference only; actual performance may vary by environment, usage and firmware version.

Self-Test
Continuously monitors the gas generator and communication links and displays warnings through the DJI FlightHub 2 Health Management System (HMS) interface.
