The new P4P V2.0 features the powerful OcuSync HD image transfer system, which allows automatic switching between two frequency bands and wireless connection to DJI Goggles RE. Like the P4P and Advanced, the P4P V2.0 is equipped with a 1-inch 20 megapixel sensor capable of capturing 4K video at 60 frames per second. The FlightAutonomy system has dual rear-facing sensors and two infrared sensors, which allows obstacle detection in five directions and also obstacle avoidance in four directions.

The integrated camera has been redesigned to use a 1-inch 20 megapixel CMOS sensor. A specially designed lens consisting of 8 elements, has been divided into seven groups. It is the first camera from DJI to use a mechanical iris that eliminates rolling shutter distortion that occurs when shooting at high speed. This makes the camera equivalent to many traditional floor cameras. More powerful video processing supports H.264 video in 4K at 60 frames per second, or H.265 video in 4K at 30 frames per second, both at 100 Mbps. Advanced sensors and processors secure recordings with more detail and the necessary data needed for advanced post-processing.


FlightAutonomy has been extended by another pair of high-resolution vision sensors on the rear side and an infrared system on the sides of the drone. This network provides obstacle detection in five directions and obstacle avoidance in four directions. This makes the P4P V2.0 safer than ever before and gives directors the confidence to take even more complex shots.


The P4P V2.0 wirelessly connects to the DJI Goggles RE and lets the pilot experience the flight directly on the dual LTPS displays in 1080p. With OcuSync, users can enjoy crystal-clear FPV flight with extremely low latency. In addition, the drone can be controlled more intuitively than ever. The Head Control function allows the user to control the aircraft and gimbal with head movements only.



The P4P V2.0 automatically detects targets, follows them and keeps them fixed in motion for even more complex shots. Tracking fast-moving objects can be very challenging, but the P4P's advanced image recognition algorithms allow it to track targets and keep them in the frame. This new algorithm is able to detect a variety of objects, from people to animals and vehicles. They adjust the flight dynamics accordingly, for butter-soft shots. Pilots can still choose between:
Follow - Follows a target from the front or the back, automatically avoiding obstacles.
Profiles - Flies along the target from a variety of angles to take a perfect profile shot of the target.
Spotlight - Keeps the camera pointed at your target while the drone can fly unattached.


Fly anywhere, with just a simple tap on the screen. Just tap the screen to easily adjust the flight direction while the P4P automatically avoids obstacles. Tap again to manually take control again. The new AR-Route function shows the drone's flight direction in real time while the route is being adjusted. It can be very challenging to control altitude, speed, course and camera simultaneously with the joysticks. TapFly Free allows pilots to set the direction of the flight, allowing you to turn the drone or gimbal without changing the direction of the flight. A total of three modes are now available in TapFly. TapFly Forward - Simply tap to fly in the selected direction. TapFly Backward - Single tap to fly in the opposite direction of the touch. TapFly Free - Fly forward, but still have full control of the camera during flight. *Obstruction avoidance not available in TapFly Free.


With the improved return function, the P4P can automatically select the best route to return. The function takes the route during the flight, allowing the P4P to use the same route for the return flight in case the signal is lost. Based on the flight attitude at the time of disconnection, the P4P is even able to adjust its flight path to avoid obstacles. When the P4P takes off, it records the area below it and compares the images on landing. For maximum precision during landing. The P4P also investigates whether the ground conditions are sufficient for a safe landing. If obstacles are found or water is detected, the pilot is alerted and the P4P hovers in a waiting position.


With the gesture mode, selfies can now be made even easier with just a few gestures, without remote control. Advanced image recognition technology allows the P4P to receive instructions through gestures. The target simply raises its arms when the camera points to the target and the drone then fixes the target in the center of the image. When you are ready for an image, you simply extend your arms to signal the drone. The drone now starts a three second countdown and gives you enough time to take your pose.


Draw is a brand new waypoint control technology. Simply draw a route on the screen and the P4P V2.0 automatically moves in the appropriate direction while the flight altitude remains fixed. This allows the pilot to concentrate on controlling the camera for even more complex shots. Two different draw modes are available, each for different scenarios. Forward: The drone follows the route at a constant speed with the camera pointed forward. Free: The drone moves along the route only when requested to do so. In this mode, the camera can



Different productions require different flight characteristics, and the P4P V2.0 features three different of these modes: P, A and S. Switching between these modes gives the pilot the control he needs, whether he is looking for smooth shots, simplicity, intelligent navigation or speed. In position mode, TapFly, ActiveTrack, obstacle detection and positioning functions are active. In Sport mode, extra agility and speed is available, with up to 72 km/h. The Atti mode disables satellite stabilization and merely maintains the flight attitude. This is ideal for experienced pilots to shoot soft shots. Tripod mode limits the speed to 7 km/h, for precise control and indoor flights. The infrared and visibility sensors are always activated in this mode for safety reasons.

The dual IMU and compass modules of the P4P V2.0 make it even more reliable compared to conventional octocopters and hexacopters. Compass and IMU are important sensors that guarantee a stable flight and the P4P V2.0 constantly compares the data recorded by both sets. These data are checked by advanced algorithms to verify their accuracy. Inaccurate data is sorted out without affecting the flight.


Professional aerial photography requires longer flight times. The P4P V2.0 has a maximum flight time of 30 minutes, more than enough time for the perfect shot. The DJI GO 4 app shows the battery level and calculates the remaining flight time, as well as much more. The app automatically warns when the minimum battery level required for a safe return is reached. An advanced battery management system also prevents the battery from overcharging or irregular discharging. If stored for a long period of time, the batteries will drain to a certain point to ensure the best possible battery life.


For aerial photography, the remote control is responsible for most physical controls. More complex shots, however, require real-time video recording, vital flight statistics and advanced settings. These are traditionally controlled by intelligent smartphones or tablets, making them indispensable for aerial photography. The DJI GO 4 app is optimized for aerial photography and is updated together with the aircraft. It can be installed on all smartphones and tablets. A large number of Intelligent Flight Modes are available via the DJI GO 4 app. It also allows access to manual camera settings such as ISO, aperture, exposure time, formats, etc. Every change in the settings of the DJI GO 4 app is implemented immediately, without long loading times. Vital flight data and the status of the video transmission can be easily accessed in the app for even more control and convenience. DJI GO 4 also features post-processing functions so that recordings are immediately ready to be shared or even streamed live. After each flight, flight routes and data are automatically collected and synchronized with the DJI GO 4 account for review at any time. Flight data can always be easily tracked.
